Bella Coola Harbour Tour

Take a leisurely tour of the North Bentinck Arm. We'll tuck into many of the beautiful little bays that make up the the north and south sides of the channel to look for bears and other wildlife on shore. This trip often encounters whales and other marine life. First Nations pictograph viewing on a cliffside in the South Bentinck Arm is also an option.

Info & Itinerary

The channel that the Bella Coola River empties into, the North Bentinck Arm, is our gateway to the intricate network of fjords and inlets that make up the Nuxalk territories and connect us to the rest of the Coast. There are many things to see this trip! Zip out to the South Bentinck Arm to view First Nations pictographs on a cliffside, take a nice cruise past or perhaps visit the historic Tallheo Cannery, anchor out at Nusxiq' (Green Bay) to look for bears feeding on the shores, or simply navigate the many beautiful bays and take in the views all the while watching out for whales and other marine life.

This tour departs the Bella Coola wharf at 8AM and returns at 12PM. Your First Nations guide is sure to fulfill your interests with local knowledge and histories of the area. You'll be back to the wharf in time for lunch.
